Mr and Mrs Cooper

To celebrate the opening of the extension of the Cooper Gallery performers in role portrayed Mr and Mrs Cooper welcoming and greeting the VIP guests and members of the public. The performers engaged with people of all ages, provided interesting historical information about the Coopers and created an inviting atmosphere for those visiting the Cooper Gallery’s collection.

Mrs Cooper

During the summer holidays Mrs Cooper delivered drop-in children’s activities at the Cooper Gallery. The sessions allowed children to engage in arts and crafts such as balloon face decorating, flower making, card making, sculpting, sketching and chalk drawings. Children also participated in a journey with Mrs Cooper, bringing the artworks to life as they travelled from painting to painting completing creative tasks involving movement, rhythm, music and art which promoted creativity. Adults also interacted with Mrs Cooper as she welcomed them into the gallery and provided information in role about the Coopers and the gallery’s collection.
