Memories of Maurice - a one man play

The production for the Maurice Dobson Museum and Heritage Centre celebrated the engimatic and controversial character of Maurice. It was performed in the shop and home (now Darfield Museum) where he worked and lived with his partner Fred for over 40 years. The script was developed from collected memories of his life growing up in the Dearne Valley, his war time experience, working as a miner and his personal life with Fred.

"An absolutely unexpected trip down memory lane. Very touching and acted with emotion and authenticity. It took me back to my childhood memories..."
